Cloud Strategy & Migration
Vendor-neutral assessments, target-state architectures and pragmatic migration plans for AWS, Azure and Google Cloud — built around your unit economics, not the vendor’s roadmap.
Read client reviews →We advise mid-market and enterprise teams on the architecture decisions that shape the next decade — from cloud and security to data foundations and the software that runs the business.
VK Solutions is a Barcelona-based IT consultancy. We work with clients who treat technology not as cost but as compounding advantage — companies whose next decision will shape the following ten years of their operation.
Founded in Catalonia and registered as VK Solutions S.L. (Reg. B72972821), we operate at the intersection of strategy and engineering. Our work is deliberately narrow: a handful of engagements per year, each treated as a long-form study rather than a transaction.
We do not sell licences, resell hardware, or earn referral fees. Our recommendations are independent — which is why finance, logistics, hospitality and industrial teams across Iberia and Western Europe trust us to read their stack honestly.
The studio is led from Aribau, Eixample, where most engagements begin with a half-day on-site discovery session and end with a written architectural decision record the client owns outright.
Six distinct disciplines, all delivered by the same partners who lead the engagement. We do not subcontract decisions; the senior who quotes you is the senior who writes the report.

Read client reviews →Top-to-bottom security review aligned to ISO 27001 and NIS2 — identity, perimeter, supply chain, governance — delivered as a prioritised remediation roadmap for the board.
Read client reviews →A measured programme that pairs operating-model design with technology selection — so transformation is not a slogan, but a sequence of decisions you can defend in 18 months.
Read client reviews →Network, datacentre and hybrid-cloud topology — sized and costed for the business you will be in three years, not the one you became last quarter.
Read client reviews →From ingestion to decision: warehouse design, semantic modelling and BI tooling that gives executives one number — and engineers the lineage to defend it.
Read client reviews →Independent review of monolith, microservices and event-driven designs — including build-vs-buy guidance, vendor due diligence and architectural decision records.
Read client reviews →Three reviews per discipline — selected from completed engagements in the past four years across logistics, finance, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, pharma, public sector and software.
They cut our migration window from eighteen months to seven, and crucially refused to over-spec us. The shortlist they delivered ended up saving roughly 23% on annual cloud spend.
Vendor-neutral in a way I genuinely had not encountered before. They walked us away from a deal I was about to sign — and were right.
The migration runbook they wrote is still the document our infrastructure team opens first when we onboard a new region.
A genuinely independent audit. They flagged a supply-chain exposure two of our previous reviewers had missed, and gave us language we could take straight to the board.
NIS2 readiness, mapped to our actual operations rather than a generic checklist. Six months later, the regulator’s questions were the same ones VK had already drafted answers for.
Calm, methodical, and thorough. They treated security as a governance question, not a tooling question — which is precisely the framing we needed.
Their strength is restraint. They proposed less change, not more, and made sure each step we took could be reversed. Everything since has been on schedule.
They re-sequenced our roadmap so the value-delivering work happened in year one. The board signed it the week it was presented.
A rare consultancy that pairs operating-model thinking with real implementation experience. Our 27-property rollout shipped without drama.
They redesigned our hybrid topology with a five-year horizon in mind and kept the cost model legible enough for our CFO. Both miracles.
Their network refactor reduced our incident rate by more than half in the first quarter. The diagrams alone were worth the engagement.
Pragmatic, opinionated, and unwilling to recommend anything they would not run themselves. Exactly what a manufacturing IT team needs.
They unpicked a semantic layer five years of vendors had quietly broken. The single source of truth is, for the first time, actually true.
They asked harder questions than our internal team and were not afraid of the answers. Our weekly board KPI is now defensible to the line.
Public-sector data is rarely treated with this much rigour. Our open-data programme launched on time because of their lineage work.
A second-pair-of-eyes review that paid for itself the same week. They identified a coupling problem we had been quietly arguing about for a year.
Their build-vs-buy report was the calmest, clearest document we received during the entire procurement. We chose buy. They were right.
Their ADR template is now the one our team uses by default. The engagement effectively levelled-up how we record our own decisions.
On-site sessions are held at our Barcelona studio in the Eixample district. For initial conversations, the form opposite reaches us directly — typical response time is one working day.
Tell us what you are working on. Brief notes are welcome — we will reply with a few questions, or a time to talk, whichever suits you better.
